STK Ta Bay sa Paulito’s Seafood Restaurant started as a small eatery that served only 5 dishes back in 2002. Since then it has offered more authentic Cebuano dishes ranging from favorite staples such as fish sutukil to the more exotic fares such as turtle and eel.
Abaseria was supposed to be just a showroom for Carmela Jurado-Lava’s diverse business pursuits – furniture, kitchen utensils and jewelry. These have inadvertently added a rustic yet charming character to the restaurant that Abaseria has now become.
It has indeed lived up to the Spanish translation of its name, sari-sari….
The first Original AA BBQ restaurant is at Lahug, Cebu City. I could still remember that there was a convenience store in front of it which was later demolished to expand the restaurant's packing space.
I am not surprised why the eatery seems to have a diverse fan base which would include my dad, my dad's friends and my friends' dads. Almost all the professionals I've known in Cebu, those who have wheels and those who don't, have been to A-One at some point.
