My other resignation letter
Today is officially my last day in NCR. Well, I could not find the exact words as to how I am feeling at this point. All I know is that it has been an incredible ride so far.
May I grab this opportunity to thank my first company for looking after me for the last 5 years. I had a lot of firsts here which explains in part why it is quite hard for me to say goodbye. They took the risk in hiring a clueless fresh graduate like me. I don’t know if that was a wise decision on their part but I am humbled and very grateful even for that thought alone.
My thanks goes as well to all my colleagues whom I have worked with including those I haven’t seen in person. It is a privilege and honor to be working with NCR’s finest and funniest; those who have Facebook accounts and those who don’t; and those who have the latest Ipods and those who would prefer any smartphone as long as it has Android running on it. I don’t know to which subset/s each of you would belong. But for what its worth, I’d like to tell you that I consider all of you as my friends even if you happen to own an old Nokia phone like I do.
And finally, I would like to thank my God for seeing me through all those years. I would not have endured this long if not for His faithfulness and constant assurance that everything else would work out just fine. I am actually both excited and afraid to take my next adventure. But I know too that He will always be there despite the weight loss/gain or the change in my hairstyle for that matter.
So to all my colleagues and friends, I wish that despite the distance and the change of address, we would still communicate via email, twitter or through whatever technology that would surpass any social network by then. The world is getting smaller every second so this is not anymore a question of where but of when, not of how but why not.
Thank you once again and see you around.
